Mitch, Charmain, Corey, Jeff, Eric,  A Wild Italian, and I .....(7)..... of us took of Saturday Mornin to see if we could get up to the Wahtum Lake Area.....We didnt know where the Snow started so we just drove.....Ending up unloading at the Lake Branch-Wahtum Lake Rd Junction.....

    We  had some Fog Snow during the Night and Morning..... Just enough to lube the Hifax.....Just Barely coolin the water cooled Sleds..... Snow was hard.... and some Pickup Ruts too...Dense Fog...... A  few barespots.......And rocks too.....Oops and a few Water Washes  and Down Trees too.....Surprisingly the Road was better than we were expecting ... Kinda Hard tho, and a bit Rough in places..... Anyway, we finally got out of the fog  just under Indian Mtn...... It was worth it..... The Temps were just under freezing the whole trip.... fog was feezing to the goggles and face shiels.......When we got up on the Ridge just under Indian Mtn  we broke out in to the sun and it was Warming Up a bit...........

    Some of the Guys had to shoot the Hillside for  a bit.... It was bit hard so They didnt get too carried away

 

Some of us went up to the top of Indian Mtn..... The temps came up a bit...... Maybe 60-70 Degrees.......It  was Hot......Perfect for Sunbathing..... We had to shed our suits just to be up there

I got some Pix from just above the Fog Layer....I couldnt get the Sled in the Sun because of a knife edged ridge line.....Lookin at Mt Hood  and almost into the S
sun too.....with a Sea of Fog just under the TimberLine.... A Nice Picture (I think)

    We wandered every road  up there........There were a lot of washes and obstacles......There  just isnt enough Snow up there to really do any boondockin

    After spending what seems, most of this Winter with the Valley all Fogged In
this day was  Really Special.....Getting up into the Sunshine...... It was worth it  ;-))
