They Plowed to Kingsley Resevior ....... I went up there Friday Afternoon
.....The  Snow was a little  soft from the afternoon warmth but just enough to soften the ride
..... was really good........  didnt need a lot of horsepower........ classic spring ridin......perfect for
boondockin.....I found a  whole  buncha new Partial Cuts I hadnt rode before.....I was wanderin along the edge of one of them that seemed to have a bluff just outside the Units.... I  saw an opening about a hundred feet out and checked it out.....There was a Lake down in a hole......Warren Lake.... I know its in a Wilderness Area... I didnt try to Cheat on it either... I musta been right on the edge of it.

I kept heading uphill beside the Unit Boundaries and ended up on the Mt Defiance Rd....
then to the topThats the
Columbia River at Hood River down below......
It was  a little foggy and still froze on top of Mt Defiance .......
A most enjoyable experience....... the snow is melting fast around the Resevior  tho.....
There's still a  lot of Snow out
there to Ride this Spring......Till at least 4th of July for Me........
I  wandered South...From Defiance  being carefull not to leave many tracks on the Roads   ......
I  ended up at Rainey Lake

    Stayed home Sat......

Tried for Red Hill on Sunday......Tried is the KeyWord....After trying 4 different Approaches......Unloading  at 3 of them.....and going  1/4 to 1/2 mile  and seeing too much bare rd, that, and knowing there was a lot of exposed area just beyond .......I gave up.......for now.......
I  Think a  couple of weeks will melt out the road enough to get  to
the good snow
I think 17  will be the only possibility for next weekend on  this side of the  river...........Maybe Green Point if the rocks arent too big to roll out of the road to get the tow rigs thru ......

The Powder Season is Over I think...... there's  gonna a lot of short rides to be had ..........
I'm plannin to do Batchelor on Memorial Day and Red Hill on the 4th of July  .....
I hope  to be  ridin somewhere every weekend in  the between...... ;-)
