    Nancy & Chris, and I went out Saturday .... Up 44.... As usual this time of the yr we get some marginal snow at the sno-park.....some new..... not enough to cover the rocks .... We scraped over some almost bare Pavement for a bit too.......It was Worth it tho...... We  got up  to our favorite play areas, and  we got to break em in all over again..... hehe....We been Lucky  all winter up there.....I dunno why, but Everybody Else seems to miss em.....There's a  few  Others that hit  em,  but we've been the first All Winter..... They dont know what they're missin.... Think Chris

Its 16 feet to The Survival Shelter's  eaves ...... We Might Get the 20' I recorded a few Yrs ago
    It was  snowin pretty hard up there most of the time..... the Trail had been groomed that mornin... I think ..... and hadnt any  traffic......We were the first  and there was 8-10" of New on the Trail already....... and it was still pilin up...... Can Ya Visualize 15 Miles of Smooth Groomed Trail with New Snow on It...

    Chris headed to Adams....  Eric and Mike Headed up 17, South to 44..... The Unloading Spot is better.... 10' of Bare Pavement if Ya take the right trails......It had Quit Snowin sometime after dark
Saturday...... was  some New at 2800' level...... enough to cover our  tracks from Friday Nite even..... Up High it was All Covered over from Our Jaunt Saturday......... I was Late gettin there...... I headed out ...
I got side tracked a few times so I didnt Catch Em ........I  ended up in the Canyon and a couple of 700RMK's showed up...... We Played for a bit.......
One of the 700's was comin up and Hooked an edge or something......I came Down the Hill and Parked just above Him......He ended up rollin it over its windshield..... And headed Back down the Hill before I could get my Camera out....Damnit.........Out of The Dalles.... Last name starts with a "T" I think.....hehe
We visited a bit and I headed out....... I usually come in the top and go out the top.....If I can.....Seems... As I was  goin out the top Eric and Mike were comin in the Bottom......That was as Close as  we came all day.......
    Got up to High Prairie and Met  another Group..........Aaron was Playin in the Powder..... 700Doo with Short Paddle Track... n No Hood.....He was Havin Fun

Anyways I was wanderin around the  countryside....shut down my Motor and Heard a funny noise
About 25 miles from  my rig....... The Starter had Fell off the Eng.....Behind the Clutch the Bottom Bolt had Broke off...... The Top Bolt had unscrewed itself out......  the Rear Bracket had Broken clear in two........Hangin by the Battery Cables and bouncin off the Ring Gear.......Unhooked from the Battery and tyed it away from the Ring Gear and Headed Home...... Got side tracked only once more....Got a good Pix from a New Angle
    The Weather had settled down a bit..... I had never been in this place when I could see the Mtn before......Had Shell Rock Mtn lined up perfectly in front of Mt Hood.....

    It was a Nice Enough A View, I Forgot all about my Starter Rattling around in the Bottom of my Sled....  A Great end  to This Weekend's Riding
