SnowMobile Maps
Of the Mt Hood Area
North Cacades Oregon

East Side of Mt Hood

This first Map is  the Area East of Mt Hood we call Brooks Meadows-High Prairie.... there are several ways to access... The Two Most Popular Access'es are  the Little John Snow Park about 25-30 miles South of Hood River at the Junction  of Hwy 35 and the Forest Rd 44 .....The other is Billy-Bob SnowPark on Forest RD 44... West of Dufur .....Go South of The Dalles approx 20 miles on 197....Turn into and thru Dufur and Right on the South end of Town on 44...
I cant remember how far it is up there..About a Mile beyond Boy  Scouts Camp Baldwin.... The Columbia Gorge Power Sledders run a Groomer  out of Camp Baldwin.....

The Rd numbers dont show up very well but  Rd 44 links the 2 SnowParks, and at Brooks Meadows one can go North on Forest Rd 17  all the way back to Hwy 35 about 11 South of Hood River....17 is one of our alternate routes in low Snow Yrs
There are Several Interesting Rides  on the West Side of the Hood River Valley that aren't Mapped.... E-Mail Me
for more Info when, and or if, we get some Snow.....On Decent Snow yrs I usually try to do one of my Semi-Secret Areas on the 4 th of July... Always on Memorial Day  ;-))

    South Side of Mt Hood

This Area is approx 10 miles South of Government Camp .... Hwy 26 is the main route between Portland and Bend

The first is Frog Lake Snow Park on the Left at the top of the Hill...... the second is Sky Line Snow Park approx 3-4 miles South on the Right (Forest Rd 42)
..... The Mt Hood SnowMobile Club has a Groomer stationed at Sky Line, and I understand they do a good job of Grooming when there is any Snow.....

I'd like to  Thank the Mt Hood Snow Mobile Club, and the Columbia Gorge Power Sledders for these Maps
